Current music:"don't think twice, it's all right" - bob dylan

I almost never listen to Rush Limbaugh because it makes me feel as though a blood vessel is about to pop in my brain. However, I was driving around the other day and happened upon the station with his show. I listened to him for a few minutes just to make sure he was as dumb as I remembered (he was, spouting lots of nonsense about having to stay in Iraq until the job was done, even if it took "forever," which he says it won't because . . . well, I'm not sure why--just because "nothing lasts forever.") Anyway, it happened to be the day he made his "phony soldiers" remark ( http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/10/03/limbaugh.soldiers/index.html ).

I hardly even noticed that remark and had forgotten about it until I just saw the cnn.com article about it. I mean, when you're listening to Rush, how can you listen to a single statement and say "Okay, this is offensive and where I draw the line." You can't. It's Rush Limbaugh. So he believes that soldiers who are against the war are "phony soldiers."

Yeah, he sucks. Of all the horrible things he's said, people are surprised by this?

Please! He's a monster, a liar, and a criminal.

Quite frankly, the ONLY people who have a right to an opinion are those who have been in combat.

Fuck you, Rush.

I understand he is attempting to explain the statement away and has released a recording of the show with the "phony soldiers" edited out. Limbaugh is digging a deeper hole now, talking about the veteran in the VoteVets spot as though he is a pawn, unaware that he is being used. I would suggest that the vet, having served and sacrificed in Iraq, is more acutely aware of being used than Limbaugh could image, although not in the way Limbaugh states.

I was flipping through channels yesterday and Limbaugh was still yammering about how everyone is out to get him and that he is a victim of a smear campaign. God, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?!
